Thai Massage

40 minutes: $75.00
60 minutes: $95.00
90 minutes: $125.00
120 minutes: $160.00

Thai massage is more energizing and rigorous than most other forms of massage therapy. It's also called Thai Yoga massage.

My clients say Thai massage is like doing yoga without doing any of the work.
I use palms to knead your muscles, guided Asanas, or yoga poses, acupressure, compression and joint mobilization, but no lotions or oils are applied and you remain fully clothed for the session.

The pressing techniques used in Thai massage are designed to increase blood circulation to facilitate the better flow of oxygen and nutrients to your tissues. It also helps your body naturally get rid of waste, such as metabolic byproducts and carbon dioxide, more efficiently.

Adding stretching to the massage process helps relax the muscles further, so they naturally regain natural flexibility and tone. You'll relieve chronic stiffness and experience improved mobility.

A single Thai massage session will help you release stress and relieve pain, and help you function more effectively at work and home.

Swedish Massage

40 minutes: $75.00
60 minutes: $95.00
90 minutes: $125.00
120 minutes: $160.00

Swedish massage therapy is the modality that comes to mind when most people think about massage.

One of the primary goals of the Swedish massage technique is to relax the entire body.  It combines oils or lotion with an array of strokes such as rolling, kneading, and percussion in the direction of blood returning to the heart.to help the body improve its circulation.

But Swedish massage therapy goes beyond relaxation. Swedish massage is exceptionally beneficial for increasing the level of oxygen in the blood, decreasing muscle toxins, improving circulation and flexibility while easing tension.

The benefits of this type of bodywork are wide-ranging and include relief from aches and pains, decreased stress levels in the body, enhanced mental clarity, improved appearance, and greater flexibility.

Deep Tissue

40 minutes: $75.00
60 minutes: $95.00
90 minutes: $125.00
120 minutes: $160.00

Deep tissue massage therapy is similar to Swedish massage, but the deeper pressure is beneficial in releasing chronic muscle tension.

Deep tissue massage is used to treat injuries and muscle tension by applying heavy pressure to the muscles throughout the body to reduce pain by aligning muscles and connective tissue.

This slow, heavy and concentrated method uses the therapists’ arms, hands, knuckles, elbows, fingers, forearms and bodyweight applied to specific areas of the body to break down adhesions to reduce pain, increase mobility and decrease inflammation.

The focus is on the deepest layers of muscle tissue, tendons and fascia (the protective layer surrounding muscles, bones and joints).

Deep tissue massage has several therapeutic effects and can be used to treat many different conditions. This type of massage is ideal for the treatment of major muscle groups like the neck or lower back.

Cupping Therapy

$40.00 (Can be added to any session)

Cupping therapy is an adaptation of an ancient technique; the purpose of this technique is to promote health and healing by loosening soft tissue, connective tissue, scarring and adhesions moving stagnation and increasing lymphatic flow and circulation.

This therapy utilizes silicone, glass, bamboo or plastic cups and a vacuum pistol  or flame to create suction on the body surface. These cups are moved over the skin using gliding, shaking, popping and rotating techniques while gently pulling up on the cup, or may be parked for a short time to facilitate joint mobilization or soft tissue release.

Suction reaches deep into the soft tissue, attachments and organs. Another benefit is to pull toxins and inflammation from the body to the surface of the skin where the lymphatic system can more readily eliminate them.

In massage cupping therapy, the muscles are tended to with the application of pressure. Negative pressure is better to help with pain management than tissue compression.  With the cupping therapy method, the skin, tissue, and muscles are instead pulled upwards to enhance circulation and provide pain management.

Massage cupping therapy also utilizes different oils so that the cup can glide easily across the back of the patient. Massage cupping is considered an alternative medicine to help with pain management and induces feelings of relaxation and stress relief to ease tension.

Gua Sha Therapy

$40.00 (Can be added to any session)

Gua sha is a healing technique of traditional East Asian medicine. Sometimes called ‘coining, spooning or scraping. Gua Sha or Skin Scraping has been an integral part of Traditional Chinese Medicine used to prevent or treat disease since the Paleolithic Age.

Gua Sha is used to increase blood flow to an area that is in pain, irritated, or restricted allows healing to occur by allowing blood and nutrients into the interstitial space where you are experiencing your pain. This also helps to take away toxins that may be stuck in the tissue thus, allowing a waste exchange cycle to reengage.

In addition to increased blood flow, Gua Sha is a phenomenal way to break up scar tissue which limits joint movement, binds to muscle tissue, blocks interstitial fluid movement, and causes pain.

Using a tool made from smooth volcanic stone, buffalo horn, jade, or other polished mineral stones to lightly scrape the surface of your tissue. With oil or massage lotion, the immediate effect is increased circulation to the area with pain or tightness.

Sometimes petekei (small speckling purpleish red discoloration), which looks like a tiny speckled bruising may start to show in some areas. Do not be alarmed, this just means the area has more stagnation and the Gua Sha Treatment is working. Speckling should resolve in a few hours to a few days and is harmless.

Gua Sha is a fantastic therapy, espescially when combined with Cupping.
